Tip: A Simple Way To Add a Map To Your WordPress Posts

If you just want to embed a quick map into your posts or pages, you don’t need another plugin or to sign up for anything. You can use a very simple Google Maps embedded map. This is just a piece of HTML that you can easily insert into your post as an HTML block.

  1. Great tip, and easy to implement!

My site has a bunch of map pages (50-100) to sports venues. I had been attaching static maps in each page. These static maps can easily get outdated due to construction, name changes, etc. In a matter of hours, I was able to replace all static maps with embedded “live” maps that I don’t have to worry about maintaining.
